It's an unusual way of approaching things, but it works. Unlike the turn-based overview map of a Total War game map, the galactic conquest map in Empire At War is set in real-time - and you can see the comings and goings of fleets as you play. This latest Star Wars strategy is real-time throughout, which is unusual since it takes on a multi-tired approach, a bit like the Total War games. He's not exactly Old Ben when it comes to the war stories, but he's still got a fair bit to say, much of it regurgitated in a way that is distinctly 2006 - but we'll come to that later. Och, don't mind me - I'm prone to such whimsies, and I'm not at all unhappy to be spending a few hours with the real-time strategising of Empire At War. I suppose there must be death for these things to be really interesting, but wouldn't a smuggling game or a Wookiee cookery anthology just shake things up a bit? With endless possibilities and friendly community, you will never get bored with this game. That Galaxy Far, Far Away never seems to get a moment's rest.

Personally I have even become friend with some of the players. Players can group together to look over each other and work together to achieve same goal.

Younger player can easily get guides, tips from older players. There is strong community spirit between players. The second thing I love about the game is the players. Each race have its own strength and weakness. There is different race you can become to experience the different style of fighting and Every battle is different and you can learn on it and improve your skills. Every battle is not repeative or predictive. Younger player with little ship can win against those bigger empire. Unlike other game where older player always win against younger player, in this game everyone is equal. You have to choose what ship to build, when to build, who to attack depending on different situation. There two things which I love this game and I belive few other game can provide.įirst is the dynamics of this game. You need different amount of ‘turn’ to explore planet (planet provide income), research infrastruture (increase rate of income coming in), build ship (you need ship to attack other empire), etc. Everything you do to play this game needs ‘turn’. For example ‘turn’Īre given to you every 6sec on Real-Time server, whereas ‘turn’ are given to you every 30mins on Slow server. You are given ‘turn’ every time interval depend on the game-server you choose to join. The game is about you setting up a empire in space. Hence basically any pc existed today that have internet connection can play this game. This game exist for quite a few years and I myself have already spent 3yrs playing this game.
